Sprint Galaxy Tab gets its first overclock -- now rocking at 1.2GHz

Over two months since its release, the Samsung Galaxy Tab's 1GHz "Hummingbird" processor has been overclocked to 1.2GHz, courtesy of "Bauxite Kernel."  Currently only Sprint Tab owners can get in on the overclock love.

The developer, Bauxite, labels this as an early alpha build, and promises more to come with different frequencies and voltages.

The custom kernel comes in the form of a compressed zImage, and is installed with every Samsung fan's favorite: the Heimdall flashing tool.  Grab the zipped file here, and sound off in our Galaxy Tab forums. [xda-developers]
